About FIRST
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1989. Its mission is to inspire youth from Pre-K through high school to be science and technology leaders and innovators by
engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs and competitions that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster
well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and
leadership.

Our Involvement
As an organization, we support the mission of FIRST by doing the following:
- Sponsor teams at the grade school, middle school, and high school level
- Fund scholarships
- Provide teams with mentors
- Host events where teams can showcase their work and network
- Provide judges and general volunteers for FIRST competitions
